The holiday season is approaching fast, and if you’re like us you’re already starting to think about gifts. With Zero Waste Holiday, you’ll learn how to make unique and sustainable gifts that reduce your ecological footprint. Throughout the month of December, CSUN Sustainability will be posting DIY gift videos to their Instagram. Follow them for creative gift ideas that will have a big impact on your loved ones (and minimize your impact on the planet).

Lord of the Rings – Middle Earth Virtual Tour

The Lord of the Rings trilogy features some of the most breathtaking landscapes ever put on film. It was filmed on location in New Zealand, but you don’t have to go far to explore them. With the Lord of the Rings - Middle Earth Virtual Tour you’ll be led on a guided virtual tour of some of the films’ most memorable locations. At each stop, you’ll get a 360-degree view of the location, as well as commentary from your virtual guide. The event will take place on Thursday, December 3, from 5-6 pm. You do need to register ahead of time, but the tour is completely free.

Star Wars Universe Virtual Tour

Go from Middle Earth to a galaxy far, far away with the Star Wars Universe Virtual Tour. This 30-minute virtual tour will take place on Thursday, December 10th at 5pm. An expert guide will take you through locations and scenes from the many Star Wars films, pausing at each stop for 360 degree virtual views. Costumes aren’t required, but they are encouraged!
